I always thought Gamemaker was a bit simple and limited. But if your using Multimedia Fusion Developer then this game should turn out really good.

I've worked with Gamemaker many times in the past, and it is limited compared to some of the more advanced gamemaking systems. The GML, though perhaps not limited, also isn't as advanced.

Anyway, Fred, how long have you been working on this game now? I seem to have lost track of time.

Top eleven things that should be in the game
1. Good atmoshpere. Not easy but very rewarding.
2. Good and original gameplay. Gameplay does not have to be something new throughout the whole game, but there must be at least one decent original concept.
3. Good music. This is a must have for all games.
4. Good graphics. These will most likely be acheived but they should be noted either way.
5. Good level design. Nobody likes repetetive, impossible, or too easy stages.
6. A good story. Perhaps one of the less necesary elements of the game but it is appreciated.
7. A lot of preveiws. That way when it comes out we'll all zoom to play it.
8. A list of credits when you beat the game. Everyone knows that credits mean the game is either over or you clicked the credits button.
9. Humour. We all love it and it's in every Oddworld game up to date.
10. A cool individual AI for every creature. We don't want to fighting enemies that all act the same.
11. Cutscenes.

12. The mention of cornbread would be awesome. king

I think it's a little of both. The atmosphere is imporant, but so is the story. If you think about it all the games are based on the philosophy of the natural/native world clashing with the industrial world. If there was an Oddworld game that didn't contain those elements then it wouldn't feel right.
